can u remove the tranny alighnment plug to reinstall tranny

Default can u remove the tranny alighnment plug to reinstall tranny

i changed clutch and cant get the tranny to align with the plug on the engine,can this be removed???

Means you misaligned the clutch. Did you use a clutch alignment tool? Just loosen the pressure plate and make sure it's centered real well. Retighten the pressure plate and the tranny should line up fine.

yeah, there definately should never be a need to remove a dowel pin.. it is there for a reason. Time to take another whack at it man.

Screw that...you dont need dowel pins..they just make it even more of a pain the in the *** to put the tranny on especially under the car...Oh and i needed my dowel pins for my head since the machine shop didnt give mine back.. And what "plug" are you talking about?

..theres a right and wrong way for everything. we believe the plug hes referring to is the dowel pin.
