Default What are good performance upgrades

Hey all. I have an R with the basics I/H/E....what would be the next good mod. I hear there is not much point in redoing suspension or head/cams..cuz they are pretty damn good already. Any ideas???

Next mod would be a helmet, quality tires (if you don't have them already), then track time. Come to Expo 7!!

What Intake, Header, and Exhaust? It could be an EBay 2" SRI, Megan Header, and 2" kink bent with a Ractive 3" for all we know.

Also curious on what intake, header, and exhaust since they are just that good already.

And here's a good place to start on deciding on other basic mods. http://itrca.com/FAQ/performance/mods.php

Exactly. Depending upon what parts are currently installed, a good upgrade might be removing them and installing better versions.

Exactly! A driver mod is the best mod because it's also transferable to the next car you buy.

A garage, nothing is more slow than an non-existent R.

how about some tuning to see how the I/H/E are working for you.

[opens can of worms]whoever told you the head/cams couldnt be improved was a dumbass [/closing can of worms]

and just to be THAT ITR OWNER, take it to the track and learn to drive it.

if these are of good quality get some sort of tune with them........at the very least get a vafc.........

next i would go for a FD and FW....best bang for the buck mod imo........

I agree that the ITR head and valvetrain is pretty good stuff... but you can always improve .. I have headwork, JUN3 cams, JUN valvetrain, etc.. Definite improvement over oem ..

It has DC headers, AEM cold air, and a mugen twin loop exhaust. I will have to get it tuned this spring. thanks for all the info...Jun cams and valvetrain are one of the reccomendation i've got. And the helmet is definatly going to come in handy

If that's the case, you may want to consider ditching the DC header for something that performs better. A good header is an important upgrade, especially if you're considering further modifications in the future.

Definitely ditch the dc header...

From your first post, I was expecting something like rmf, smsp, toda, or something else of that quality.

Like previously stated... Ditch the DC Header. Get something of higher quality, TODA, Mugen, Spoon, SMS-P, RMF, etc. You'll definately notice a difference.

Other than that, the AEM 3" CAI is great (Have one on my R), and your exhaust is set. So get a higher quality header, a helmet, an SCCA membership, and go have some fun.

If you're looking for more power, JUN is a great route to go with for a head package. Don't forget the bottom end though.
