Default cooling system

I have a 93 honda civic and neither of the cooling fans will run; however, when i wire either fan direct to the battery both operate. I have replaced the fan relay in the fuse box and the temperature switch on the thermostat housing. What am i missing?

im guessing your talking bout the radiator fan.. check the fuse.. could be the relay under the hood... the other fan i believe your talking about is for the ac.. so that one shouldnt be on inless u turn your ac on.

When you say switch on the t-stat housing, are you referring to the coolant temp. sensor? When mine quit working it was because the wires to that sensor were disconnected.

Bart,
the sensor switch is connected.
at least as far as I can tell, the connector 'clicks' when it seats.
