wrong forum first off. just for future reference. anyway...

b16 head is better that the gsr. the only real advantage for the gsr head is the quench in the combustion chambers, but if you ever go turbo you don't want that anyway. but the b16 head flows better, and obviously the type r is best being a b16 head with a factory port job more or less

actually both the gsr and b16 heads flow almost the same, the gsr will yield higher compression

if you plan on building up the head (porting and polishing), don't get a type r. it's very easy to take out too much material from a type r head when doing port work.

compared to a type r head, getting a b16 or gsr head ported out instead will often yield better results and more power.

I'd keep the B16, that's just me, I'm not saying that's best or anything (not making any claims here).

Care to back up your claims with a flow bench chart? I want to see if you actually do have a clue what you're talking about, or if you're just repeating crap that you've read on the internet.

I happen to have flow bench charts of both the PR3 and P72 heads right here . . .

Oh? So "B16 are the best" specifically? Not the PR3 in general?

Care to post those flow bench charts for us and explain exactly why? I'm ready to learn.

for an n/a application the gsr is probably the best choice. it has slightly better compression the cams are better than the stock b16 cams. once upgraded, the question becomes a little more difficult. For a turbo app, the b16 is your best choice. it out flows the gsr and it has a lower natural compression ratio. for an N/A application, flow is a LITTLE less important, and the compression is a little more important.

where are these flowcharts you speak of?
