Default Can't read gauges at night ???????????

Hey all, I have a '91 Accord LX and I can't see the needles on the guages at night. The gauges light up fine but not the needles. What gives? Do I need a fuse? bulb? some glow-in-the-dark nail polish? All me previous Hondas were fine. Help me out here-Mike

I dont know how yours works, but I think they have a back light. try finding a wireing diagram, that should give you a good Idea on what it is.

Theres two bulbs above the gauges in front to illuminate the needles. Bulbs are probably bad. I pulled em out in my old car when I did indiglo's.

if you pull your cluster I would change all of the bulbs so you won't have to do it again in 2 weeks

My odometer is really dim on the 4th gen. The trip is pretty dim too at night, you almost cant even see the milage. The bulbs are not blown its kinda weird. Is everyone elses like that?

Oh come on now, I can't get the radio out to pull the instrement panel. How do I get the radio out? The manual shows two bolts in the rear going up. I can't see or feel them. How do I do this?-Mike

PS, This is my 5th honda. it is the nicest one I've ever owned but it is also the PITA to work on!

All right, I'm done. What a pain. The worst part- The auto parts store gave me the wrong bulbs. I walked over to my prelude and stole the bulbs out of that. Took MAYBE 10 minutes to pull the gauges on the Lude !!!!
