Default Loss of power ..... occasionally

Hi guys,

got a d16z6 civic

basically car occasionally looses power...

i can be driving and it will be all good and normal....

Then sometimes i can be driving and the car will have the power of a slug refusing to climb revs quickly at all. i also notice the engine tone alter when i give full throttle (it sounds alot deeper and louder but isnt revving higher)

then sometimes the car will jerk in between the two making me jump all the way down the road!!

i cant see any patterns or correlation between when they happen or not

i know my z6 is slow but i mean when this happens its slower than usual!

its not the clutch as it looses power in all gears, i cant see any pattern in when this is happening as i just tested it and it was fine.. but on the way home about 1 hour ago it was jerking like crazy :S
