Default EK starting up funny

For about the past 2 months I've been dealing with my car doing something a little fishy..

When it's hot outsideand my motor is cold and I crnk it over, the car will start and then suddenly stall. And then when I try to restart it I have to pump the gas until it turns over and then hold my rpms at about 1500 until the motor warms up and then everything works fine. I had it checked it out a bit ago and they told me that my fuel injectors were leaking and that was the problem. So I replaced my fuel injetors and the car still does the same thing. However, when the car is warming up I can smell gas fumes coming from the exhaust and I don't know what the problem is. I replaced my main relay as well and that didn't fix the problem either. Any suggestions ?

Oh and it only does this when it's hot outside and the motor is cold. If it's cold outside it starts up perfectly but then my idle surges until the motor warms up. Any suggestions on what it might be ?

My setup:
98 Civic DX
Mini-me head swap
OBD-1 Conversion, Skunk2 Chipped ECU
Intake, Header, Exhaust

I heard this could be a timing issue. Anyone else ?

First things first, test it with a known good non-chipped ecu.

Nominal fast-idle valve holding upon cold start-up is 1500rpm and a steady decrease as coolant temps rise. There's a chart somewhere in the helms manual to illustrate this.

With that being said, could be a faulty coolant temp sender, faulty fast-idle/thermo valve or possibly somethign to do with EACV/IACV or the TPS. How fresh is the O2 sensor you have?

Dude, I think its the ignition switch.

There was a safety recall for 1998-2000 civic ignition switchs back in 2002, the current passing through it is too high which melts the soldiers and contact points it, this can cause your car to start and immediately turn off, or for the dash lights to not turn on when you turn the key. I have basically stock civic and its doing the same thing as your car, going to take it to a dealership soon, and hopefully get it taken care of for free.

I'm heading down to the dealership tommorow to get this checked out. Will they still fix it for free even though it's 5 years after the recall ?
