I was driving home from work and my ABS AND SRS lights came on and all my meters failed. My car was still fine. When i got home, i could not start my car. Does anyone know whats wrong?

 

When is the last time you had a new batttery?

 

Another culprit could be the alternator.

 

If everything but the cluster works, run diagnostics on the gauge cluster.
Im assuming all of the meters failing to mean you have no tach, speedo and gas gauge, and not accessory gauges that you added.
If there's error lights on and no moving needles, I vote for cluster short out.

 

when i step ont he gas the battery light shows and the engine check light comes on...and my tranny is fucked up making wierd sounds and shaking the whole car..everything is messing up in one day..and yes i prolly need a new battery too..

 

I'd check fuses, some under dash and some under hood.

 

that problem your having is very typical of a charging system problem. have your battery tested along with the charging system. (cluster short is very unlikely however possible, start with the charging system/battery)

 

my transmission also makes sounds too..

automatic or manual? what kind of sounds, and when does the tranny make these sounds?

 

i just installed a new battery and everything is running fine and my transmission stopped making noises..but the battery light still pops up sometimes ..when i start my car and step on the gas

 

have your chagring system tested at kragen or autozone

 

Slipping belt?

 

i know its my alternator now..i had my car running and when i took off the positive it died..if the alternator was good it would have kept the engine running correct?
