Default Cluster issue

Alright i just purchased a 1995 integra RS. Problem is that the spedometer doesnt work, neither does the odometer. The rpm's, gas, temp. work perfectly fine. Also when i pass a certain Rpm the check engine light turns on. It remains on until i shut the car off and start it up again. Anyone know if these problems are related or are all seperate?

disconnect the negative battery cable than the gauge cluster. plug the gauge cluster back in than connect the the negative on the battery. drive around for a while to see if u notice any changes. hopefully the problem will be solved that easily. than report back

Clean the contacts on your VSS (vehicle speed sensor) or replace it.

i had the same issue. its probly the speed sensor, in my case there was no speed gear in the tranny. you might want to double check that.. stick your finger in the hole where the speed sensor goes in and there should be a gear if you cant figure it out.

just a worst case scenario
