in the process of buying a hatch... when i find a silver one lol. Well it just crossed my mind, what are the differences between the 1999/2000 Civic DX and CX hatches? Only thing i know is that the CX spoiler isnt painted... LET ME KNOW PEOPLE! thanks!

 

i thought the dx had rear wiper and defroster, but im not sure

 

i think DX has AC and CX doesnt...my 98 CX came with AC and has a rear defroster

 

you can add on ac to a cx
but i think dx came with power steering
& a cargo cover

 

correct me if im wrong but doesn't the dx come with steelies and cx w/alloys

-also i think dx has smaller tank...

 

DX has colored wing and rear wiper.

None came with power steering.

my bros DX hb came with p/s...was that a deal installed option?

 

Weird, my CX came with PS, A/C, painted wing, rear wiper/defrost, and steelies. I'm pretty sure all DXs have the vertical climate control layout and CXs have the horizontal one.

 

all 99-00 climate controls are the same
the horizontal ones are from 96-98

basically the dealer can add ps, ac & all that if u want to a cx

i doubt the dx came with steelies & the cx came with alloys because the dx is the higher model

 

CX gas tank = 10 gallons
DX gas tank = 11.9 gallons

 

Dx has power steering, painted rear spoiler, cargo cover, a tachometer, and plastic wheel covers
over black steelies. A/C was an option on both Cx and Dx. Cx has silver steelies and none of the
mentioned above options. (This is for 99-00 Civic Hatches)

my dx came woth p/s a/c painted wing rear wiper/defrost they do not come with a tach and i dont know about the rims mine had integra rims when i bought it but im preity sure the dx comes ith steelies with covers and the cx comes with steelies in silver

I bought my 99 Dx new in 1999. It still, to this day has a tachometer. Maybe there is a difference in
packaging between Canadian spec Dxs and USA spec Dxs.
