IACV: hiss at idle?
F22B2. I hear a very faint hiss under the hood when my car is idling (warm). With a stethoscope, I can tell that it's definitely something near the back of the throttle body, maybe the IACV. Something in that area is definitely hissing, and when I press on the throttle cable and the revs go up the hiss suddenly goes away . Is this a vacuum leak, or am I paranoid?
is the engine running right?
does it idle normal?
If the answer is yes;
you are Paranoid
All joking aside, if you suspect a vacum leak spray around the area with carb cleaner to see if the idle changes.
