Default LS VTec tec

Hi im new to Swaps and what nots

well im doing an ls vtec swap into my 93 del sol si (got the block and head for cheap)
Here's whats done so far

91 B18a1 block
itr pistons
arp rod studs
new bearing and rings
rebalanced and mircropoloshed crank shaft
stainless steel oil line
honed and decked

97 Gsr head
b16 cams
95 gsr dizzy
3-angle valve grind
resurfaced
tapped and plug

I have a virgin p28
do i need to chipp it or anything?
also what should i tune it on?

still need some more work (oilpump, timing belt, head studs, wires)

thinking about getting better cams, intake manifold and valvetrain...

wondering what would be better transmission: b16 or gsr tranny (ITR cost too much) also, what do i need to go hydro

i know i will need b series motor mounts(wheres the best place to get these?

will any b-series shift linkage work for my del sol
as well as my which axles would i need?

if im messing anything for the block or the swap, please fill me in

Thank you

Read through ht more to find most of your answers. There's a sticky at the top as to what you would need.

But to start you off since there is a del sol which came with a b-series motor, you would be able to use that part list as to what you would need with axels, shift linkage, mounts etc. You can get most of the parts in good condition from your local junk yard.

okay i've been reading around for a while

i should get all the parts i need for the swap straight out of the del sol vtec model(right?)

for the b18a1:
how would i put on a hydro tranny on it? or will it just bolt on and work fine?

also, can i use the same wire harness from my d16z6 or will i need one for for the bseries?

and i don't know much about ecu.
how much is the average usual cost to get it reprogrammed and chipped? (and tuned?)

thank you guys for your help

you need to get together with your tuner and see what he recommends to tune with. the tranny bolts up fine to the block. no hydro conversion needed.

No. You specifically need the del Sol VTEC shift linkage. Civic linkage is too short.
