Water leak in 89 CRX Si, Any idea's?
I have a leak that comes either through my windsheild or sunroof? The leak comes down and settles down by the dead pedal. I'm just curious if any one else has had this problem? Thanks.
Search on crx water leaks , there are several area's that are the main causes.
The sun roof drain hose can be clogged , the seal at the windshield gets old gets small cracks in it , the joints on the roof under the black molding are also prone to cracking and leaking. Your prob is is the front , so I'd start with flushing the sunroof drain hose to make sure its not clogged. If all else fails remove the front seats and pull back the carpet from both floor boards then sit inside with a flashlight while someone uses a water hose on the outside. I know guys that had to strip there whole interior and do the hose test to locate there leaks so be patient.

My buddy has been having the same problem too, but we cant figure it out because he just installed a new windshield so we dont know if thats the problem or the water tubes. We've even taken the dash out to find the leak, but no luck. Write him and ask see what he says, his name is 1 Fly Si.
Good luck.
To the both of u.

I had a water leak. Actually a few leaks. In the process of rebuilding my car, I had the windshield pulled because of a loose seal.
Here's a major leak that was lurking behind the seal. I believe it started because a previous owner removed the antenna but then put the antenna plate back on the car (no blockoff plate), water got in, and sat there. I replaced the plate with a blockoff within a week of buying the car. However, the rust ate the corner of the windshield seal and opened up a pretty major leak.
This was on both sides.
