Default 1990 Accord How u check the check engine light?

Need to know cuz it got the CEL and its overheating and changed the the thermostat and also runs real ruff and takes a few cranks to start.

at the top of the passenger side kick panel look for a BLUE 2 pin connector, if it has never been used it will be taped to the harness with BLUE tape

Jumping the service connector as shown is the same way to do it when adjusting the timing right>?

Yes

I knew this for 92+(obd1) Honda's but i thought it would be diffrent on a 1990(obd0)

90-91 cb7 are obd1, mine is. I got a ecu with a light window so I count the blinks there. I only found it in a 90 se, so I grabbed it and installed it into my 91 lx.

if u count the blinks on the ECU does'nt that make it obd 0???

short the connect like in the pic in the above post and count the blinks of the check engine light
it blinks in a code
for example
codes 1 to 10 will blink 1 to 10 times
codes over 11 will blink long and short blinks
so a code 42 will have 4 long blinks followed by 2 short blinks.
