is that still using the ep3 ecu like a piggyback module or is it a reflash or an OBD1 conversion?

It is none of the above.

You can't (TO MY KNOWLEDGE) convert a K to OBD1.

The K-Series Programmable ECU (K-Pro) consists of a hardware modification to any K-Series ECU, plus Windows software which allows you to re-program the ECU and datalog sensors.

In other words... you chip your factory ECU, with a tunable, programmable chipset that allows you to tune the factory ECU, as well as datalog information from the cars sensors.

No... a reflash works off of the stock chipset, and it is not programmable within itself.

KPro is a new ECU chipset. It IS fully programmable.
