i just swapped a b16 into a 91 crx,well i used lo cash racing piggy backs and all that.the vtec doesn't engage at all now,i am checking the wiring right now but im not sure where i should look and what else to look for?any suggestions? also is it bad to drive it in the mean time without vtec engaging? its my daily driver

 

No its not bad to drive without vtec.. did you get a new VSS??

 

whats a vss? a tech said something with the knock sensor or something could affect that

no the vss is the same one i had in my other car and it ran fine,i am told i need to get the speedo to work to get the vtec to work,i am working on this now,i should bee able to just plug the speedo cable right in the trans and it should work as long as it set in there right,this is a obd0 ls trans with a obd1 ecu p72
