A friend of mine got a 90 ls, he put a fully built lsvtec in it. the problem is that the vtec wont engage, the wiring is obd1 and he has a gsr ecu. now could it be because the speed sensor is the cable type and not the sensor. any help would be appreciated thanks

OMG, do a search, I've seen 952 "OMG, my vtec wont work" threads in the past week.

 

yes check both signal wires, and make sure your vtec is grounded.
