Default What would you do???????????

I just got a 94 gsr body with a B18c5 in it.. i dont want to turbo it (everyday driver and want to keep it all motor).... SO here is the real question....

What would you do for max hp gain without losing to much everyday drive ability?<U></U>

I already have RC 550 injectors, DC sport fuel rail, A&R headers and Apexi N1 exhuast (cant stand it....way to loud)..

but like i said i just got this and have never really messed with a ITR, the key is everyday drivability, i am not affraid to spend the money on the rigth stuff just want to know the best HP gains.

umm dont really have one i will spend the money one the right parts i am not tryna do it the cheap way i want it to be dependable and quality. so whateva your suggestion is i want to hear it i am up for anything.

also what characteristics do you want from the car

no never really thought about a super charger how much work is that, and how will effect my dependability?

I think a good power goal would be some where around maybe 250 something like that.. this is my first ITR i have only had an LS 4dr so i havent dont much work with the tegs dont know what i hould expect to get from what???? feel me.. just kinda looking to see what i can get out of it... i go to the track a little with my brothers 92 and i would like to make it to MIR next year with this but i dont want to run it stock like this i want a little more emmmmfffff

AND PLEASE post pics of mods if you want would love to see all mods and how they were done, really looking into know this engine and doing this the right way

Lots of info, dyno numbers and pics.

Theres not much work involved in installing a jrsc, its pretty much a straight bolt on kit. Also, dependability will not be much of an issue with these things if u spend money on an ems such as crome or aem and having it tuned.

Its got a C5... to keep it all motor and gain some power your looking at dropping a decent amount of cash.

This is such a generic question. To answer your question: Who knows?

We can all sit here and recommend anything and everything, but is it all going to actually work for you? More than likely not.

I suggest you think about what it is your looking for (in detail), your budget then make phone calls to the manufactuers that spark your interests and who will assist you in meeting your goals.

I'm sorry if I come off as a dick. This is not my intention. I'm simply saying to think and act for yourself instead of asking such a broad and open-ended question.

cheapest way = NOS
building a bad *** all motor engine = Expensive
Turbo = You didnt want to do it.

but if i were you. maybe i'd get the cams, cam gears, chipped obd1 ecu. and crome tune it

turbo can be reliable. sometimes more reliable than some all motor setups such as super high compression big cam setups. I know that a greddy kit will get you the power you want for a low cost and it is legal. meaning it will pass emissions.

What are you doing for fuel management? Does it even hold idle with those 550cc Injectors? 550cc Injectors will flood the Hell out of a motor with stock map, it won't even run.

Anyway, want the most power? Do this:

-Sell the Type-R swap
-Buy a B20 block
-Build the B20 block
-Sleeved
-11.5:1CR forged pistons
-85mm bore
-Forged rods
-91mm stroker crankshaft
-Balanced rotating assembly
-B16 head
-Port and polish work
-Valvetrain (JUN, TODA, etc)
-Type-R Valves
-Aggressive cams (JUN IIIs, TODA C2s, RLZ Stage-IIIs, etc)
-Intake system (I recommend ImportBuilder's Type-R Intake Manifold paired with a 72-70mm TB, such as RPM Services. Adds more power than most ITB setups.)
-Keep that ANR Header
-Type-R Transmission with tighter final drive (JDM 4.785, ATS 4.928, etc)
-Tuned (AEM EMS, CROME, Neptune, Uberdata, etc)

That setup would make crazy all motor power, 2.1 liter, great response, and awesome over all power... Pending on tuning, anywhere from 230-240whp or so. Pretty badass, and it will be reliable.

That's my advice, that's what I'd do.

well Im makin 218 whp all motor and my R drives daily and idles like stock haha....all depends how deep you wanna go in engine work and money bro...
