Default header and cams

Whats the best header to use in a 91 hatch that has a b16a, without having to buy a different front cross member?
Best bang for the buck, are the civic type R cams the best to use ....my mods are jdm b16a , pr3, intake, and a cat-back.
The car is just to play with , have fun running a few of my buddy's, driven about 5 days a week if that. Thanks for the comments and help.

The civic type R cams are very good from what I hear. About the header, you might want to think about it twice. There is the 4-1 which gives you top end and the 4-2-1 which is for lower-mid power. The jdm type R 4-1 wont clear the cross member so thats out the picture. Do some searching around, there are plenty of knock offs that are very good quality.

Thanks for the help, What kind of power is typical with those cams and about the ls header is it the 90-93 ls header that would work?

dont buy an ls manifold...waste of money if your lookin for any sort of performance gains... you may not want to change the front member but you can still gat away with running a jdm R header by grinding down the lip....ground clearance sucks cuz the R manifolds were designed for the tall deck motors and are a little long for a b16...regardless of the fact they still clear fine unless you drive like a retard or are ridiculously slammed....juist watch out for potholes and driveways and you will be fine....
as far as cams there are so many options out there....when buying cams you need to be brutally honest with yourself as to what your plans are with the car....if its a daily driven street car your not gonna want a cam/s that only makes peak power up top...power under the curve is what your looking for....thats one of the first mistakes i made when i first started modding my motor a couple years ago...i bought the skunk 2 stage 2 cams for my stock compression motor and lets just say they sucked *** till i got my comp up to around 11:1...what i ended up with at the time was no power down low and only some power up top since i didnt have the higher comp to support those cams....
if you plan on only doing boltons then ctr cams are great for you.....they are known to make power....you will do just as good with a ctr intake and gsr exhaust cam.....like i said before...there are a lot of factors to determine in cam selection...
you can always pm me and we can talk about your plans and i can try to help you out with a good cam selection
