Default type r lsd reliablity

ive heard many people say that type r lsd arnt that good, ive been told that they will break on hard launches. whats the true on this? is it worth buying or save up some more for a kaaz or quaife.
what about the helical thing? type r lsd are suppost to be non helical while others are helical. what does that mean?

well based on the video footage we took....

the ITR LSD isn't very aggressive at all when it comes to straightline launches... it tends to play catch up between the power diff. from side to side...

so as you let off the power and move towards the tree, one side will stop spinning before the other...

However, based on G3-TEG's car which had NO LSD before and now has a CTR one.... there is a noticeable difference and this was particularly evident on the burnout....

Before one side would spin..... but now both sides spin.

ITR ones are helical.....

and for the record I still have a KAAZ for sale.....

check sig..

yup, type R one is helical LSD, they require less maintainence while clutch type require to use right LSD tranny oil(in order to make it quiet) and change the clutch disc when it wear out.

If your going to buy one, get the Quaife(group buy) for the price of a ITR LSD... no work to maintain, and a lifetime warranty even if used for racing purposes... now top that!
