youre looking at the wrong numbers. above the exhaust manifold will be little round date stamps. the one all the way to the left as you face it will be the production year.

check the next number in the circle next to that one. That will be the month. an 8/9 head can either be an 89 or 90 head depending on the month it was made.
Also, for reference the 92-93 GSR heads are also PR3 heads. The B17a motor is about 99% identical to a B16a motor minus the crank, rods, and pistons. It should be called a stroked B16 than a "GSR" motor.

Exactly.
Or, I could read 9/9 and be made in a late month like August so it would be 9/9 0/8. Don't forget, they start rolling out the cars for the next year early. They don't wait till January 1st.

alright, cool, thanks for the help. I bought a pr3-3 head date stamped 9/9, 0/6...

plans are b16a2 sleeved out 2.0 status,11.1 comp/ratio. b16a2 head stock.. 66mm t/b....port matched OEM intake manifold. basically stock. My goal is to make it 210hp+160tq.

and then and brand new OEM USDM ITR LSD tranny. $1750. that came from a dealership, but I have yet to afford that. lol. eyes are bigger than my wallet.

ok, threads dead now.

I can tell there is still a lot i have to learn. thanks dude.

long story short, i bought a b16a2 sleeved out 84mm stock sleeves. I know. Dude went turbo on it all. cracked a cylinder wall obviously and sold me his short block for CHEAPPPPP. Couldn'tss it up. Hes already got arp bolts and studs all over, forged low compression pistons and misc parts.
