TERRIBLE Gas Mileage - n/a B16a obdo, probably 02 sensor?
I bought a 90 Civic dx hatch for my winter beater. Came with a b16a obd0 running a pr3 ecu, had a lot of codes when I got it and Ive fixed all but code 14 (IACV, replaced with a known good one but its still there)
This is my first full tank of gas Ive run through it and I seem to be getting the same milage I get in my turbo crx.
Itll probably work out to about 350 KILOMETERS, so like 250 MILES to my 35(??) liter tank?
Pretty bad
now when I took this thing on the sniffer test it blew horrible, the guy said it was running rich, failed with 5X the legal limit. Blew perfect @ idle, but at 25mph, it aparently just sucked
Now all of my driving is in town driving usually, some small 15mile trips. And I know I have a HEAVY foot, redline quite a bit actually, but I do drive semi normal here and there
Would you guys replace 02 sensors? Maybe my 02 sensors are mixed up? Would that cause this problem?
ive got one spare 02 sensor I can pull off my last motor, but I dont want to spend much on this car
Any help appreciated
Thanks

I agree with most of the other people that posted.......250 is not that bad for a b16. I used to get 200 miles to the tank before I got dyno tuned and then it went to 230.....AND I didnt smash the gas that often.
i was lookin at another thread about gas mileage and was really surprized how good mileage they were getting. in my hatch with d16y7 dpfi i get about 350 to the tank. and thats city with very little highway driving. i was surprised since i was used to the 200 from the b16 on the rex.
My old D15B2 DX Rex : around town 29-33 mpg Hwy 36-41 mpg....
Friends 425 hp turbo GSR Rex : 10 mpg!!!!!!! (if you think you're doing badly....)

10mpg is insane, must be dumping fuel and running insanely rich
My Crx runs 750cc injectors and is probably close to 400whp and I get 200miles out of the tank EASY, and I roast the tires on every trip

belive it or not, my old obd0 b16 in my 91 hatch used to get like 330 to a tank
im guessing that comes out to 30ish mpg
now the kicker, my d16z6 stock crx is averaging 25 mpg...
idk you should be fine then...

Ya, see, some people are getting like 300MILES to a tank of driving. Im getting 370 KILOMETERS or 230MILES
I'll check my 02 wires after I open up some gifts
