Dont remember off hand... But they are the same ones out of an 86-89 dohc 1.6l integra

Call and talk to Tom Jung at ARIAS Pistons 310-532-9737 He can tell you exactly what you need

I am almost positive the big dome ones (p29) are 88-89 integra only--86-87 integra use different pistons.

If you don't mind spending a bit more, SRP makes an a6 specific 4.3cc dome piston--that is what I am using to get the compression I wanted.

I went with SRP as well. I just need to sell my 40 over PM7 pistons.

p29

They come in the d16a1 in the states. You could also use the d16y5 pistons.

would i have any problems with valve clearance with these pistons in the SOHC ZC?

I have the p29 slugs and took .040 off of my head and it revs real nice and no clearance issues at all

nice nice. do you know if "knifing" the crank helps at all? a buddy of mine told me that it'll rev like a bike or somethen like that. i thought that was pretty interesting. but yeah so p29 pistons it is then. sounds good.

Wait. Aren't PM7 pistons what come in a SOHC ZC in the first place? If so, they're the same thing as P29 pistons.

I very much doubt pm7/p29 pistons come in the sohc zc. From what I understand the earlier sohc zc is almost identical to the d16a6. The only reason the dual cam ZC or later Integra motor has fat dome piston is because it has a very large combustion chamber--I think its like 43cc. Even with the big dome, the 88-89 Integra motor still only has like 9.5:1. Add to the fact that even in the Integra I believe the piston sits 0.040" in the hole. So assuming the sohc zc has the same combustion chamber size of an a6 (38cc) it would have to sit like 0.080" down or something to have compression in the 9s using a p29.

One reason I don't like the p29 piston in theory is because it has such a large dome and it sits 0.040" in the hole on an undecked block. In practice it seems to work fine, but you could have a lighter piston that is "flatter" just by having a taller compression height so it won't sit so far down and have "wasted space".

Well, the ECU for the OBD0 SOHC ZC is the PM7 so it would reason that the pistons would be PM7 as well.

I didn't know that--I still would be very surprised if an sohc d16 came with those big dome pistons.
