Need help with aem ems basemap, turbo gsr. Any ems guru's out there?
My setup:
92 cx hatch
95 gsr swap
garrett t3/t4 57trim
dsm 450 injectors
aem ems
All stock other than that. Looking to run about 8-10psi. The startup calibration privided my aem is for a b18c5 with rc 440 injectors and 9.0/1 compression pistons. can i just change the injectors in their list to the dsm 450's and go with that.
Also, if im using the ems and dsm 450's, do i still need to wire in the injector resistor box?
My goal is about 330hp on the stock block until i get the b18a1 built later this year. IM in spokane and no one around here knows how to tune on ems, closest place that i know if is seattle which is 250miles away.Any info given would be greatly appreciated, sorry for the newb questions.

we'll me personally, i'd take the 3.5 hour drive and actually get it tuned right in seattle, thats a very little price to pay to get a good tune plus u'll have a better chance at making the power u want, and it will be much more reliable, just cause u have a tune that is similar to urs, everythings different, i got my turbosetup from someone with the same exact motor, and same upgrades and yet the tune was still way off, fuel aint the only thing u gotta worry about, remember that, timing is just as important as the fuel, also, if i were u, i'd get a wideband guage of some sort, the good ones not the cheap ones, i have the aem wideband and its the best tool, ive been daily runnin a highcompression jdm gsr motor now for over a year at 10lbs and everyone asks how i did it................its all about the tune man, do it right and u'll save lots of time, money and a motor in the long run .
ya i was gonna buy the aem wideband to go along with ems, but i just wanna see how well its gonna do before i can make the 4 hour drive. I plan on having it tuned in seattle. But ya, i wideband is in the works too.

doesnt aem have a auto tune..?i guess you might need the wide band.. let me get my buddy on here, he works at AEM, lets see what he has to say about this..?? hopefully he can help you out

its not really an autotune. its the startup calibrtion. AEM included one for a b18c5 turbo with 440 rc injectors. IM running 450dsm's which there is an option for in the dropdown box in the setup menu. im guessing that should get me close.

you also do need a resistor box or you will fry the aem injector drivers
edit: using that basemap will probably not get your car started....there is a lot of other things to do in the aempro to get the car running. I would highly suggest using stock ecu and stock injectors and just disconnecting the turbo somehow (charge pipe off or wastegate held open) to get you to the tuner, then put the injectors in there. Might not be good for the turbo, but you'll have less chance of blowing the motor using the basemap trying to drive 3+ hours to a tuner.

yup, listen to this guy.
read the manual first, it will tell u everything u need to know to get the car started and running on the ems.
sync timing, rescale fuel for injector/psi, injector wizard, etc etc
if u dont feel comfortable, take it to a tuner
u NEED to run a resistor pack with peah & hold injectors! and u cant tune w/o a wideband.
