SAFC wiring
Question #1
Found this in the forum FAQ
V-AFC VTEC controller -------> ECU PIN location
Red & Orange wire splice/connect to A15 (yellow/black)
Green wire RPM signal splice/connect to B15 (white1)
Pink wire VTEC signal output to VTEC solenoid (green/yellow)
Purple wire VTEC signal input not used on PM6 ecu
Blue wire VTM signal not used on PM6 ecu
Gray wire Throttle signal splice/connect to C7 (red/blue wire)
Yellow wire Pressure signal output cut/connect to C11 ECU side harness
Si/Hf = white1 , DX = orange
White wire Pressure signal input cut/connect to C11 ENGINE side harness
Si/Hf = white1 , DX = orange Black wire Ground splice/connect to A16 (brown/black wire)Engine side harness
Brown wire Ground splice/connect to A16 (brown/black wire)has to be connected closer to the ECU
I'm having a little trouble understanding the bold section. Is it telling me to connect the yellow wire on the SAFC to the ECU side of C11 and the white wire on the SAFC to the Engine side of the harness; and that in a Si/Hf the wire is white and on a DX it's orange? It will be installed on a PM5 ECU if that matters
Question #2
On the SAFC harness
IG Power: Orange <--I put this wire with the red one and connect it to power right?
Ground: Black/Green
VTEC Signal: Purple in/Pink Out
RPM Signal: Green
Pressure Signal: Yellow Out/White In
Throttle Signal: Gray
VTM Signal: Blue
Question #3
How does the SAFC adjust A/F? It doesn't do it via the pressure sensor does it?
Pic of ECU I just found for reference

Yeah I downloaded the manual, and have them all hooked up except for the yellow and the white. What it was labeled as in the manual didn't seem like it was the right wire, and since there wasn't a color next to it, I didn't want to chance it being the incorrect wire.
it took me about 20 minutes to install that thing, 30 minutes to figure out it wasnt what i wanted, 10 minutes to un install it, and 1 hr to have it sold for what i payed for it.
I got the SAFC for free, it's going on my winter beater, and i'm throwing a HMT kit on it which so far has cost me $700 including the car. All I need is an intercooler and i'm good to go. I'm not going to chip my ecu, just not worth it on this car. Plus i'm buying a condo. Free is good.

well! think when u get it all hooked up and u get it tuned, whatever u add the ecu will see the added fuel and then just subract it.so your just pissing in the wind with a safc unless u got bigger inj.

ok, i wont say it is completely wothless but what i will tell you is that WITHOUT A WIDEBAND it is worthless. how will you know what in blue hell youre doing to your fuel curve without one? not a big deal, use what you want, free is good, but put a wideband o2 on it.
at which point youll have to go make 3rd gear pulls up and down the freeway, paying no attention to the road and all your attention to your wideband, making mental note of where youre rich and where youre lean from idle to redline.
sound like fun?

I will definetly use a wideband to tune it as best I can with what I have. I'll be running a T25 or a 13G, haven't decided yet, with DSM 450s.
So basically I am cutting the orange wire on the ECU and attaching the white and the yellow?

I'm 90% sure of what i'm doing, just wanted to 3x check. What better way to learn than on a $350 car?
ArtyG explain a few things via PM...thanks bro
