Use aircraft remover to remove the old paint. Then I would recommend using high temp paint. But any will work fine.

Yeah a nice search would be nice but anyway... I've painted a dozen or more and just make sure you use a nice stripper to remove any grime and sh*T that might be on it, then a good sandable primer 1-3 coats, then 2-3 light coats of paint, and i usually clear with around 3 coats. Ending up with a baller valve cover.
PS. you don't have to use high heat!

yeah venom and vsmferio96 pretty much said it all, the only thing i would add is after the stripper before the primer use a good cleaner or metal prep. mineral spirits, acetone. just something to get all the aircraft stripper off otherwise you get bubbles and a shitty paint job.

When u paint it make sure you use paint that can resist heat cuz it will get hot and the paint will start to peel if u dont get a paint that has a high heat resistance .... Good luck i think they got thread on h-tech so check em out... if i find one ill post it to you
