distributor king WITH rotor screw?
heres the story. i bought a spare dizzy from DK for my b-series. obd-0 b16 dizzy. put it on and kept the oem as a spare incase something happend at the track. comming home from the cage shop the car dies...in the bronx. get it home and find the my DK dizzy 1) has a rotor screw and 2) the screw has sheared in half. i never took the cap off before this and i bought it brand new. never tightned the screw (cause its not supposed to have one.) I called DK and they first said it shouldn't have a screw. i told the guy it has one and it broke. no biggie cause there warranty for 3 years or life time. he calls me back and says that some of them have screws, some dont and the screw isnt warranty. only the electrical parts. now, the head of the screw flew around the cap and broke the ignitor housing. but again, thats not warranty. so i asked him what i'd supposed to do with their broken product. to which they reply with 'i don't know.'
has this happend to anyone else?
-spenc aka dizzy kill-R

damn you got burned. one time i had a dizzy go bad it got realy hot and the rotor melted and move over the screw so now its garbage cause i cant get it off it melted over the screw.
hey spence, I have a couple spare dizzy's if you need any parts, after I did a cap and rotor replacement during normal service the screw was almost out! it was like 2 threads from coming out. What I did was grind the rotor near the screw hole so that a socket can fit in, replaced the screw with a bolt cut to the right length and the same thread as the screw. put a lockwasher on and crank it on tight, no problems since. The screws always fail on the high revving vtec motors. lesson learned!
just buy a new one from them and use the parts in the broken one then hit the new one (with the old broken internals inside) with a hammer a couple times and send it back and say it was damaged in shipping
