Default Distributor King dizzy, how to remove rotor??

I just got a distributor king dizzy for my 94 gsr. I pulled the cap on it and noticed there is no retaining screw in the rotor like on my oem rotor. What is holding this puppy on there? I hope it's not just a press fit, as in just snug on the shaft. Especially with that crap that was going on with itr dizzy and the rotor seazing the distributor and intake cam.

That's my point, there is not set screw, not even a hole for one.

I don't have the unit right in front of me, but I believe it was a td44u unit. I planned on installing it this weekend. I have a new cap and rotor on my old unit (ignitor went) which I could swap out, but I'm not sure how to get this rotor off, and if I even need to worry about it.

have you tried giving a quick turn of the key to spin the rotor to look for the screw?

It's right for the engine according to there website. The dizzy looks identical to the oem one except for the rotor.

yup I have a DK TD44U, and the rotor just pulls right off, no screw. I've questioned this myself, but it seems to run ok on mine. Rotor doesn't look as nice as an OEM one though.

Nope, not oem, I have an oem and a DK, and the DK looks a little bigger, casting isnt as nice, internals don't look exactly the same, but it does the job, and it's still built pretty well. Also when I tested ohms on the internal sensors, they don't meet oem spec for resistance compared to the haynes manual. Still beats paying 800.00+ for a brand new dizzy from honda.

Another gripe is I also had to replace the cam key on my distributor king dizzy with one off my oem dizzys. the original one that came with the dizzy shattered pretty easily when I mistakenly installed it 180 degrees out of phase. Never had that happen with an OEM, but I always check the phase now!!!
