my clutch is slipping pretty badly, but ive been driving it like this for a while but i wanna get it fixed


im callin up shops and getting quotes from 425-625. do i need to replace the whole clutch or just the flywheel? cus im getting a bunch of different things said to me on the phone.

what is teh factory price on a clutch, on a flywheel? are some mechanics gonna charge me for a whole clutch and just replace the flywheel? educate me please

depending where you go and the quality of the shop expect anywhere from 400-600...as far as the flywheel goes, if you do not replace it you should definately have the old one resurfaced...and they can't charge you for the clutch and just replace the flywheel because the problem will still occur due to wear of the friction on the clutch disc face and the clutch disc springs

should cost between 2-8 hours, depending on what tools you have trouble finding

Its in depth, but straight forward, give it a shot

You can get Just the clutch disc which is oem/exedy from jdmshit.com,
or you can look for packages on ebay for around 300-400,
that usually come with a flywheel also.

A competent mechanic should only take 2-3 hours if there are no hangups,
Plus if you supply the items to be replaced, it shouldn't be over 400-500.

if you buy it from modacar they will hook you up on the labor, I remember it being $350 because casey can do it with his eyes closed
