Mini-me with no IACV possible?
OK... Y7 motor with a Y8 head on it already.
Because of mixed stories of what to get and what not to get, I bought both the MT and AT versions of the Y8.
Currently, they are saying to use the AT one, since I am using Crome on my P28, I can just do away with the need for a IACV and just use the idle screw to control the idle.
Thoughts from the pros?
Parts currently stocked up for this IM swap.
Y8 IM with fuel rail and injectors
TB gasket and IM gasket
Chipped P28 with OBD2 > OBD1 harness
I am just wanting to make sure I have everything I need before I swap.

what kinda mixed stories?
ummm no IACV?
you cant disable it with crome, your using the Y8 IM right, so hook it up.

there you go buddy, have fun, do it right.
by the way, you cannot disable the IACV, but you can drop the duty cycle so low that it will not have any effect on the idle, BUT by doing so you will also have a surging idle NO MATTER HOW you adjust the idle screw.

well what is:
"Disable IACV Error:
For vehicles that don't have an IACV hooked up"
taken from
http://www.team-integra.net/fo...age=3
or is that Neptune only?

You have to use the manual y8 manifold with the 2-wire iacv. You only use the auto y8 manifold if you are not swapping heads or you have an automatic transmission and are going to use an auto ecu.
