Default y8 im swap onto y7

Hello Ya'll I am in the process of getting all of the parts I need to do the y8 im swap onto my y7. I have a quick question though. I searched through the arch ives and keep on finding posts that say I need to get the y8 tb gasket instead of the y7. I called my buddies at honda and they said that both tb gaskets share the same part number. Both the 98ex and 98dx use the same tb gasket. Is this correct?

I have this link but it does not say which tb gasket is needed or if it is the same.

If Honda says that they have the same part number, I'd ask to see some sort of diagram for both to see if they are the same.

but if they have the same part number .................... they should be the same

why do you need a TB gasket if you are swapping the whole intake manifold?

I used the y7 tb with the y8 throttle cable holder thingy and the y7 TB gasket. All works fine.

The gaskets are different, not much, but they are different, I can attest to that. Would pust pics but got one of the two installed. But even thought they are different, I don't think it really makes a difference. The only reason the Y8 is any different is the location of the IACV.
