whats the quickest and easiest way to change the alternator?
my civic seadn needs the alternator changed and i don't have alot of time to change it so i just help if theres any quick way to take it out so i could exchange it
****** the enigine with a front end loader shake violently until it rips out then you can easily remove the alternator ....... or just get it from the bottom sometimes a 12 or 14 on a longlong extension makes that bottom bolt real easy to get to ....

No, you don't. You don't disconnect the brakelines from the master cylinder. Just the master cylinder from the brake booster. I know because I did it that way this past weekend.

The only problem is the drivers side axle is a bear to get out with hand tools.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Exactly....and you don't have to take it out. Alt. slips right out....between the engine and the axle over towards the tranny. I can do it in about 15mins now that way had a run of bad alternators on my car....very frustrating.

Unbolt the master frm the boost and move on the side with lines still attached. Alt. slides right out without having to crawl under the car or jack up the car at all.

just unbolt it bolt in the new one and let the old one just lay there, find a bumpy road and drive like hell, it'll come out.
