I dont have any pics, but yeah the shift **** basically sits in the stock position, just lower....not any more forward or rearward.

you could always cut yours or get an ebay one, most of them sit about an inch lower.

DC sports shifter get's my thumbs up, it's been on the car since the late 90's with no problems and perfect operation, no grinds or anything

shorter throws, shorter length

I've got a Megan Racing short shifter. I like it, but it hits the exhaust -- it definitely sits lower.

I'm putting on my new RS*R exhaust soon so hopefully that gets rid of the problem. I doubt it.

the b&m for hondas... cant say but if its half as good as the ones they make for the 240 its gotta be the ****!

My cousin has the skunk2 i really like that one.

As far as ebay cheepo short shifters i only have seen one break, it broke up top where the shift **** screws in.

In my expierence a lot of short shifters are at
least 1 3/4 shorter, maybe more than stock.

I had a dc before i sold my hatch, a little too low for my liking but it worked great. I tried to make my own before and it didnt work too well. It sat higher than stock height and had pretty short throws. I know what your thinking, " why would you want a shifter to sit higher than stock"? well the answer is simple, im into road racing and i was trying to copy one that isnt sold anymore. It makes it easier to to shift and get your hand back on the wheel. Drift cars do the same thing.

Yea ive seen that shifter that sits way up top(im sure theres more than one) i also know if u still want that, circuithero makes a little extension for shift *****, its pretty cool. but other than some autocrossing the car is mainly my daily commuter, and i think that low shift ***** look cool and are fun to play with.

You could also try the ITR shifter. You would have to narrow the bottom a small amount but its a shorter throw and its OEM quality. I have one and really like it. Was ~ $55. new from Acura dealer.

I had a B&M short shifter which was okay. Then I switched over to the Skunk 2 with the weighed shift **** and its perhaps the best shifter I have ever had. Its really really really really really smooth.
