Default i have a problem with my rex doing the mexican hat dance !!!!!

ok when im at a stop i put it in first to take off its starts reving up and down it acts like it wants to turn off and the check engine light is on but when i put it in 2nd gear the light turns off and it stops doing it and ive tryed everything the fuel system the ecu and the map sensor even the main relay and its not doing it too bad anymore after the relay but its still doing the same thing if anybody will help out and let me know if they have any ideas that would be great thanx.......

I think it has something to do with your idle air control valve.

yea take it off and clean the screen off possibly if thats the problem but either way depending on the mileage you may want to check it anyway mine was doing something similar no engine lights though and that fixed it for me

That sounds similar to what mine's been doing, the idle will search between 1500-500 after it warms up, sometimes....

try what whats been posted and that should help if its the problem and if not you know thats 1 less thing you have to worry about

yeah i know ive tried everything like the fuel pump ,ecu,main relay map sensor ,a brand new si distrubitor,all kinds of sensors and the wiring to the sensors but didnt try the idle control valve and my idle is at 1500 rpm.
