will my f22b head fit or work on an f22a block? I have 94 cord with f22 sohc vtec threw rod thru block. got a motor yesterday, stipped it down today found that it had spun a main bearing. not good. I was told that they might be able to straight hone the main bearing jurnals. anyways, I know where there is an f22 nonvtec. Also dose anyone know the factory main bearing jurnal size?

 

yes, it will work with some modification to one of the coolant passages, its easy though. f22 mains are 50mm

is the block I have any good? my mechanic builds american muscel this was his first import build. he has done minor **** to imports , but not one from ground up. he doesn't think the block is any good. can it be straight honed?

 

i would say yeah it can be align honed unless there was too much damage done to the journals when the bearing spun..
