Default Main bearing cap replacement

I have a block with a cracked cylinder. I have another gsr block but it has no bearing caps. can I put the bearing caps from my original gsr block in the bare block that I have? what would I need to do to make it work? Can I use a different upper bearing than lower bearing?

Yes you can use it, BUT you will need a LINE BORE. Even if they are the same type of block, NO blocks are Identical. Also, if you wish to put main bolts on your new set up, this is a prefect time to do it.

* Remember, you can always sleeve your cracked block.

Sleeving costs like $1k though. Yeah it lets you run crazy boost, but not everyone has $1k to spend when a GSR block is like $250 and don't have to wait for shipping, let alone waiting probably a week turnaround at least
