Expertise needed for my crx si mysterious problem
OK I have a 91 crx si bone stock everything. When I'm driving on the highway and starting to go up a hill my car starts to fall on its face bucking like a mule. I can turn the car off, wait a couple of seconds and then turn it back on and it will run fine for a while then do it all over again. Also if i try to excelerate it just falls on its face again and slows down. The problem only used to be when I was close to being a couple of gallons from empty, now it's doing it about 30miles on a full tank. Only every once in a while does the check engine light come on. About 2 years ago when i bought the car it wasn't running and i replaced the fuel pump with a walbro 225lph pump, because it was cheaper than oreillys, also the fuel filter and main relay. And recently i put new spark plugs and wires on and it still does it. If anyone has had this problem, input would be much appreciated.

Check the pressure of the gas when on idle and giving it gas. A weak pump will turn low numbers. If it's not the pump, do a full tune up, and check the compression at the same time. Maybe the problem is your getting to much fuel too

sounds like a bad map, or map signal to the ECU, not compensating for the load with extra fuel. might be a good idea to pull your trouble codes to get a general idea of where to start looking.
