87 CRX prepared racecar for sale Massachusetts
1987 Honda CRX-SI racecar
Modified to COM Prepared C specifications. Under 1600 pounds.
Previous life, the car was an SCCA ITA car. Been a racecar since 1997
SCCA Logbook from previous life, maintenance manual
Suspension:
OPM front adjustable camber spherical strut mounts
OPM 29mm torsion bars
OPM adjustable external rear sway bar
removed front sway bar
Koni front shortened ext double adjustable shocks
Koni rear shortened ext single adjustable shocks
500 pound/inch rear springs with adjustable height
Rear adjustable pan hard bar with spherical mounts
Brakes:
new 89 Integra master cylinder (no booster)
89 integra proportion valve
new 89 Integra front calipers and rotors (subject to change..ask)
89 Integra rear disk brakes and rotors (ebrake crap removed)
Stainless braided lines and adapters all around
3 inch duct from front directional light holes directed to rotor center
1.5 inch duct from front directional directed to calipers
duct from cowl into cockpit for driver cooling
Engine/tranny:
SCCA legal D15 Freshened with bearings, seals, new head, belt
header
resonator and Muffler with rear exit. (I believe 2.5" pipes) Meets Lime Rock noise
cold air intake with K&N cone filter
Canton oil pan with oil temp sensor (gauge is in spares list)
front mounted oil cooler with AN fittings
Limited Slip Differential
SCCA fuel test valve
Interior:
Lightweight fiberglas shell seat. No pass seat included
Stock tach, water temp, fuel gauge. VDO oil pressure gauge
Fire extinguisher
SCCA legal 2 circuit battery/alt kill switch
8 point welded in SCCA rollcage with NASCAR driver bars. (cost $1500 originally)
Wink mirror + stock outside mirrors
Body:
Extensive removal of non-required equipment.
Windshield still glass with wiper for rain days
Plexiglas hatch window w/2 aluminum supports and pass rear quarter window.
No door glass. Still a door slammer with hinges and door latches
Hatch gutted but still on hinges with 1 hood pin latching it. uses 1 gas tube to hold it up.
Wiring not used has been removed everywhere in the car.
Bumper beams removed with covers in place held with bolts and front tow loop
driver headlight is plexi panel, pass side screen allowing air direct to cone filter
Interior sound deadening and undercarriage undercoating mostly removed. Rear unibody has been re-enforced (these cars without this can pull out the subframes just like E36 M3's do). Sunroof and hardware removed. Sheet metal riveted in place. Radiator fan removed (connector/sensor/wiring still in place)
Spares:
CV axles, brake rotors and pads, doors with glass, front and rear bumper covers, glass pass quarter window, brake parts and lines, lots of boxes of stuff with "Honda" written on them. VDO Oil temp gauge, D16a1 bare block and crank (integra), 3" tach, several radiator fans.
Wheels: 4 integra 14's with junk tires and a couple diamond 13x6 steels with old track tires
Car can be delivered within 100 miles of Hopkinton, MA. Asking $5000
