ALL Motor-Usefull Gauges???
HEy, anyone here running any gauges in there car for there motor?
If so what brand? What gauge?
I'm thinkin of atleast picking up an oil pressure, but have heard negative things about them, unsafe and what not. I just want them to ensure the motor is running right and to identify any issues before its too late
Anyone have any opinions, reviews or facts to help me.

Well I'd install a oil pressure/temp to monitor the oil in general. To keep sure what the pressure is and what the temp is of the oil in certain conditions.
If people don't recommend installing the oil pressure gauge, it's possibly because you can install the mechanical one(oil running directly to the cabin and gauge through a hose from the block) or the electronic gauge which has a sensor that goes into your block, rather then having a hose full of oil right by your feet.

Yea thats what I've been hearing about the mechanical gauge. Sucks the electric one costs more, but I guess you cant put a price on safety right

mechanical is more acurrate and if u put i rubber gromet around the hole in the firewall you use it wont rub a hole in the line and if u route the line with some common sense youll be fine, and like alterdcreations said, a wide band O2, doesnt even really need to be aem, even inovative would work fine
oil pressure and air/fuel aka wideband those are teh most important i personally am going to run a aem wideband and a autometer electire oil pressures gague and oil temp for hahha's
