Why do most people don't have an oil temp gauge in their boosted cars?
I thought it's important to know for the purpose of:
1. Monitor oil overheating when boosting hard
2. Know how hot the oil is when cooling down before shutting off
Help correct me.

Those are good reasons to me, thats why I have one. It is not that important right now cause im NA but come Boost in a few months it will be.

I thought oil pressure was more important.
Regardless I had the pan welded for an oil temp gauge and I'll be getting it over the winter.

That's correct, and very good reasons. Who wouldn't want to know the status of their engines
As for me I'm only doing a boost, and oil pressure gauge. I think if you choose between oil pressure, and oil temp, oil pressure is more necessary. Some people just don't like having a whole bunch of gauges in their cars. Personally I think it attracts thieves, Definitely! If you already have the pressure gauge then by all means have the oil temp, anything for a little extra insurance.
I'm sticking to boost, oil pressure gauges, and a wideband when I have the extra funds for it.

I understand oil pressure is important, and I do have that. I see oil pressure all the time in their set of gages.
The thing to ponder is that even with serious boosted cars (ones with roll cages already) I still don't see the oil temp gauge.
