vacuum at idle??

vacuum at idle??

so ive been haveing a surging idle and cant seem to find the problem. i hooked a boost gauge i had lying around to the IM and it would go from 12 to 19 on the gauge(vacuum side of course). does this tell me anything about what could be the problem?? meaning would it cancel out vacuum leak or somthing mecanical. thanks

i checked mine and its between 22 and 24 psi

18-22 hg's at idle.

thanks for the info., but does this in any way help determine my problem?? i cant seem to find the problem, im thinking of going and buying a iacv to see what happens
