A timing ??
What exactly does advancing your timing do.I think I remember reading that it allows you to control detenation timing in the motor, but I'm not sure?
Well, any ways can any one explain? Also I thought I remember some one saying that a 14.1 is an ideal time setting?
Thanks-HC4G

advancing your timing means that you are sparking the compressing air/fuel mixture eariler than you, i suppose, normally would. its relative, of course. by igniting the mixture at different times, you can achieve different characteristics. i think advancing gives you better throttle response, and better acceleration, but also worse gas mileage, and its more likely to knock.
