I was wondering if a LS crank would fit in a b16 block. I kno that the stroke is different but if i were to use the ls crank eith the b16 rods and b16 pistons it might work maybe.
So my question is if the ls crank will fit in the b16 block without any type of custom rods or pistons?
Tryin to do ls/vtec without the lsvtec kit. CAnt find a bare GSR block anywhere.
Thanks for the relpies

The blocks are different size, with an ls crank in a b16 block, even with the short b16 rods, you would have a negative piston to deck height.
Where did you get the idea of a gsr block?

Cuz all the b18 and b20 blocks are the same height, so with that i wanted to just use the gsr block with the ls crank.
Ive heard about it by searchin on hear before but cant seem to find anything now.
Plus if i were to find the gsr block i wouldnt have to buy the ls/vtec kit. Was tryin to find the gsr block but every person wants like 400+ for them. So i was just wondering if the b16 block with a ls crank could work. Kinda figured they didnt, i just wanted to see if anyone tryed it before. lol

The vtec conversion kit is only like 80 dollars. If you cant afford that then I dont think you should be doing a frankenstein build. They ARE expensive to do it right and have a reliable motor. good luck

Dont you think if im lookin for a gsr block that i can afford a lsvtec kit. And 80 must be a cheap and not complete kit. Plus i wanted to do the gsr block so it has the girdle, and its easier to just bolt them together instead of tapping the head and running the oil line. Even though its hard, i just wanted to have a cleaner set up.
How is someone like you tryin to tell wut other people to build, you have no clue wut experience i have. And yes i have done a couple of lsvtec setups. So you should mind your own instead of tryin to tell people wut you think they should do. Instead why dont you go and try to do something yourself instead of leaving comments that have nothin to do what im tryin to accomlpish.
