Default Running with o2 sensor unpluged?

My car runs like **** when it`s warmed up. So i unpluged the o2 sensor and it seems to be alot better. Will this cause any damage other than have the eninge light on?

And the engine light only came on once and then i parked my car, turned it off and went inside. Went back out later that night drove all around and the light didn`t come on. I didn`t reset the ecu and its still showing code 1 but the light hasen`t come back on. Is this normal?

Without the 02 you probably going to be running a little on the rich side

yeah it'll run rich, and on whether or not it will harm anything I guess it depends on how long you run it. Running rich could shorten the life of the catytic converter.

If the engine is way too rich the extra gasoline will clean the oil of your cylinder walls and eventually harm the rings.

And it may blow the welds on your intake.

sounds like you need a new o2 sensor..go to autozone and get a universal 1 wire and see if that helps,,or go to a junkyard and pocket a couple from some older civics

When my O2 sensor was unpulg, it ran like crap. I was like WTF is wrong with my car and my bro forgot to plug it when we took off the exhaust manifold. I also got very low gas mileage. Like 20 per gallon.
