$6000 Dollar Problem!! Not burning all the gas!! Please help :(
I just dropped a new used engine in my 95 prelude. I timed the car and it runs enough to drive it. It seems to have about 50% the power and it pops. I checked the plugs once and they were covered in gas. I changed them out and made sure they were torqued right, ran the car, then two of them were wet and the other two were gray. Does anyone Know why the gas isnt getting burnt and my plugs are soo wet?
What condition are all of your ignition components in? Cap, rotor, plug wires? Are your injectors in good condition? Maybe they need to be cleaned and flowed.
Is there anyway to narrow it down at all? This might answer my own question but.. The engine i bought had its own injectors on it. The dizzy, plugs, and i think everything else was already on my engine and worked perfect? But correct me if im wrong if it was iinjectors wouldnt there NOT be enough gas in the chamber? Due to cloggage? Any ideas on narrowing down??

Injectors can stick open too.
Injectors can stick open too.
you need to check for good spark on those cylinders....
not enough compression can cause a no burn condition..need to perform compression and leakdown test..
injectors can stick open as well.. leaking injectors, etc..

you can tell if they are sticking by swapping the injectors from the cylinders that foul the plugs to the cylinders that are ok, and swap in some new plugs.. see if the condition moves cyl-cyl..
