Blown motor!! Need Options?
96 GSR motor. The bottom end is total trash, however the head is fine.
Option 1: Should I send the bottom end out to be fixed. If so how much do you think it'll cost to repair?
Option 2:Buy a need bottom end?
other opinions welcome

I would get a B20 block. Do a B20 Vtec. But, I would have the head checked, just to make sure that no valves are bent. sometimes you cant always tell by looking at them.

I dont think theres a point to LS/Vtec at this point. If your gonna do that, he may as well just build up the block he has now, provided it doesnt have any holes in it. If you need a new block, you may as well get one with more displacement..thats what I would do anyway, just my $.02
