Ok here is what I am trying to do. I want a good daily driver with my 96 gsr and it just has bolt on's on it now. I dont plan to go boost or anything like that. I know I could just go and get a dyno tune but that will atleast be 125$ or so with not much gain. But here is my question........ Would it be best to just to buy a chipped ecu and put it on my car or send mine off( but if I do that it is my daily driver so I really cant do that) or I guess what I am asking is what are my options? (yes I did a search and looked in the FAQ's) And no I am not trying to go and buy a aem or a hondata.

 

you could buy another ecu and send that one off then sell your other was you get it back

honestly, a chipped ecu would be a waste if you just have the basic bolt ons (ie. intake, header, exhaust). Sure dyno or street tuning might help you get 1-3 more hp, but in your case....I'd just save your money and invest into a set of cams.....possibly some ITR/CTR cams?
