Will stock injectors work??
im gonna boost my car over christmas break from school, at the moment im piecing together the turbo kit, with tial wastegate, hks bov, rev hard manifold, garrett turbo, custom down pipe, wiseco pistons, eagle rods, and still shoppin for the rest to complete the kit, ive got a b18 ls/vtec with a 99 gsr head, i plan on running 8lbs of boost max on the setup before i get a bult block.... my question is will the stock injectors work with 8lbs if tuned properly?? or will they still not supply enough flow, and if they wont then wat size injectors will work for 8lbs then be able to tune for up to 30lbs of boost?? and also, the maniofold has a 35mm wastegate port, and the wastegate i already had is a 38mm tial, will this work if i just bolt it on or can i open the flange to fit the 38mm tial?? thanks for the info
the injectors will be waaaay too small. 550ccs (which are more than twice as big) would be ok, but not much room for improvement. I would go with 880's at least. You still have a lot of research to go, just look around this forum every day, read all of the parts of the forced induction FAQ sticky and soak up as much as you can
yea i know i got alot more to do lol, everybody thinks oh boostin your car, simple, turbo manifold bov wastegate... but there's alot more, im readin as much as i can tryin to learn about everythin there's alot more to it than ppl think, and im startin to see that... so 880cc injectors it is then, wat about the wastegate question, would just leavin it at 35mm with the 38mm on it be fine or do i need to make the whole on the manifold bigger
save your self the headack and get you some precision 1000cc injectors and wire a resistor box. You will be glad that you did that from the start
