Default Wastegate & Injectors Question

Whats the difference between a normal and high pressure wastegate?
Also how would you know what MM wastegate you need?
Injectors, Whats the difference between normal and saturated?

Im planning on getting a project car here pretty soon and im going to build it and other stuff. Thanks for letting me know.

Default Re: Wastegate & Injectors Question (Spike101)

The difference is mostly the resistance,
1.7 - 3.0 ohm = Peak and Hold
10-16 ohm = Saturated

If you switch from saturated injectors to peak and hold ones, you will need to add and resistor box form an old honda that used the Peak and Hold injectors, It's fairly simple to wire them in.

Also Peak and Hold injectors are supposed to have a wider operating range.

Bigger Turbos are good for Big turbo/Low boost situations, it allows plenty of exhaust to get out so that it won't create more boost than what you want. Of course they need a good downpipe. Too small of wastegates will cause boost creep and spiking. This usually only happens on Internal Wastegates wiht poor exhaust routing though.

The boost spring should be less than the amount of boost you want to run, then use a boost controller to raise boost pressure to what you want it.

The size really depends on what kind of turbo you have and how much boost you want to run. Standard size should be goof for pretty much any application, but huge turbo (or just super efficeint)- low boost setup could require a slightly larger one. BTW the mm refers to the size of the pison in the wastegate.
