GSR or LS crank for turbo
this is my first post in forced induction(decided to go the next step)
i have a gsr block that im going to sleeve it soon.
my question is?
what are you guys using LS crank or gsr crank

I run the LS crank personally due to the extra stroke which in turn provides slightly more torque. Many many many people on here are running GSR cranks and running really fast so it is a toss up really. I personally like the LS crank BUT others will have different opinions I am sure. You can't go wrong with either

either one is fine.... with the LS you will make more torque down low over the GSR... But its mostly personal preference than anything. Allot of people on HT have different opinions so you will hear allot of back and forth on whether to do a GSR or LS

The rod to stroke ration between an LS crank is 1.54:1 and a GSR is 1.58:1, these is a minimal difference IMO

boostfed is right. i was spinning my ls crank (lsvtec) up to around 8500 last season with no problems. i plan on going a little higher next year and i know many other people are well above as well. ls motors dont like to rev because of rodbolts and valvetrain, not crank and rs ratio.

I revved to 9600rpm this season on my current stock sleeved Eagle Rod motor, when I get my sleeved block and ported head back I will rev to 10,500rpm as long as the power carries up that high. I know Joe Simpson revved to 10,500 on his LS/VTEC

..either one is fine, but i go with the LS if i had to choose.
